We are always on the look-out for good people to join our team. Please have a look here to see what it is like to work for NewOrbit and what types of roles we have. If you like the sound of how we work and think your experience and style could be a match, then get in touch.
Our driver is to make a positive difference to our clients, so we look for people who own problems and feel personal pride in what they do.
We like ambitious people, so have a supportive environment and clear career paths to help you achieve your potential.
We love technology, so welcome innovation with every project and we stay at the forefront of technology. Our diverse range of clients and projects means a lot of variation in your job.
Entrepreneurs come to us with a great idea they want to take to the world. We help them clarify what they want, design the product and then deliver it. We make it easy by hosting, maintaining and supporting it for them as well.
Some of our clients come to us because they aren’t satisfied with off-the-shelf systems. We work with them to understand the real business problem and deliver an effective solution.
We develop our own products that we take to the market directly. These are an opportunity for us to build products that we believe are needed in the market and are also an opportunity to show the world what we are capable of.

As a Software Developer at NewOrbit you’ll create a varied range of exciting, highly-scalable, cloud-hosted web applications.
There are opportunities for people of all levels, whether you are a junior or principal – what’s important is your attitude and aptitude. If you’re good, we’re interested.
We have a clear career path for developers and look for all levels of developers, from juniors/graduates through to principals.
We actively encourage side projects and experimentation and we rely on everyone in the team to look outwards and help decide and drive our technical strategy.
Our stack is primarily .Net/C# on the backend with Angular on the front-end, though we do have variations on that, including quite a lot of Elastic Search. We host everything on Azure, using a wide range of the available technologies. We work very closely with Microsoft and are members of various advisory groups that means we often get to work with new Azure technologies before they are released to the general public.

The people we ideally seek for UX&D are T-shaped people - those who specialise in one area of User Experience and/or Design, but have the flexibility to move between the disciplines.
Below, we’ve summarised the general approach we take to our projects from a UX&D perspective. If you see your skills naturally fitting across some (or all!) of these areas and have some examples of your work you can show us, we’d love to speak to you.
On the User Experience front you will have knowledge, understanding and the skills to perform in-depth user analysis. This is done by a number of methods - from interrogating logs/analytics from our systems, right through to interviewing our clients and users face-to-face.
You should be able to look at the information architecture of complex systems, creating a consistent language and flow through the system that is linked to the requirements for the project and beyond.
You should be happy to create simple and complex wireframes to present your approaches in a clear and documented format, potentially leading to creating proto-types both in graphical wireframe and coded formats.
On the design front, due to the responsive design and agile development of our products, we would require you to iterate your design process directly in code, working closely with the dedicated developers. You’ll create clean, considered, responsive user interfaces that have a strong foundation of user insight as they evolve with development.
